Lake Bonneville is a prehistoric lake that once covered much of Utah during the last Ice Age. Today, remnants of its shoreline can be seen throughout the state. Its history shaped Utah’s landscape, leaving behind salt flats, terraces, and modern lakes like the Great Salt Lake.
